South African multinational mobile telecommunications company MTN announced the launch of two new MyMTN Home Uncapped speed-based plans on 5G, promising fast data speeds, low latency, increased reliability, and good coverage.
MTN South Africa said in a press note that the company offers 5G across 125 coverage areas in all of South Africa's provinces, and the home 5G contract plans are available for new or upgrading subscribers.
“Our existing MyMTN Home Uncapped speed-based plans offer an uncapped home connectivity solution whereby customers can choose their preferred speeds on SA’s Bozza network,” said Megan Nicholas, General Manager Residential Segment at MTN South Africa.
“And now, with our 5G plans, we’ve brought the benefits of uncapped wireless connectivity for home and business into our existing 5G ecosystem, a development that is set to deliver an exceptional experience for our customers,” Megan added.
MyMTN Home Uncapped 5G plans are now available on plug-and-play WiFi to customers who sign-up or upgrade to the qualifying MyMTN Home Uncapped 5G plans, the release said.
Until 31 March 2022, customers who take up any of the uncapped 5G plans will qualify to receive a free 5G router to the value of R8799.
“With the growth in demand for flexible data solutions and the need for customers to stay connected to loved ones during these uncertain times, while also working and playing from home, MyMTN Home Uncapped plans are ideal. Our 5G plan allows our customers to live largely and enjoy an abundance of data, on a high-speed premium wireless connection that is expected from Mzansi’s Bozza network”, Megan said.
