Thai operators True and Dtac revealed they are meeting to shape up their corporate structure, and forecasting the end of March as the completion of their long-awaited merger.
In filings to the Thai stock exchange, the operators stated executives will meet on February 23 to work in conditions demanded by regulator the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC).
In the meeting next month, the companies will decide on a CEO, deputy CEO and directors for the merged company.
Currently, True Corp co-president Manat Manavutiveth was nominated as chief executive, while Dtac CEO Sharad Mehrotra is being considered as deputy.
The merged entity will use the True Corp name, and existing True and Dtac branding will be used for three years.
The NBTC approved the merger in October 2022, a year since the deal was announced.
