Thai market leader AIS has formed a new partnership with BaseKit to offer the latter’s website building platform to SMB clients.
BaseKit’s website building platform will be offered as part of AIS Business Solutions, with all existing SMB customers being offered a free website. In addition, a BaseKit site will be bundled with core mobile and data plans offered to AIS SMB customers.
The company has inked deals with major emerging market operators such as the Philippines’ Globe Telecom, and its website builder has already been rolled out in Brazil by Telefonica subsidiary Acens Technologies.
Simon Best, CEO of BaseKit says: “This partnership demonstrates the pace at which the technology sector is growing in emerging digital markets such as Thailand. We want to enable our partners to provide added value to their customers, alongside their existing core services. Converged services, with existing mobile and data plans, and our website builder, will allow growing businesses to have all their essential services from one provider.”
Weerachai Patcharopartwong, SVP-Corporate Marketing & Sales, at AIS says: “This is a direct response to the growing demand within the country for a multi-play offering of web-building services, and existing mobile operator services. We are excited to be able to offer our customers another layer to help them in their journey to creating their business.”
