South African operator Vodacom is upgrading its billing system to Redknee’s Unified platform.
The flexible billing, charging and rating platform will allow the operator to launch advanced products, promotions and new service offerings to its subscribers, target new market segments, and support its data/LTE growth strategy.
To maintain its position, Vodacom required a solution that would allow it to quickly deliver and monetise differentiated services to its customers. Redknee’s real-time converged billing and charging platform provides multi-tenancy capabilities, enabling Vodacom to host multiple operations, like Vodacom Lesotho and others, from a single platform.
The solution allows Vodacom to reduce operating costs, enhance the experience of its customers and introduce new revenue generating business models to support future growth objectives, such as diversifying into other industries and cooperating with business partners for M2M communications and the Internet of Things (IoT).
